• Played alongside his hero Johnny Haynes at Craven Cottage

• Played for Fulham in the 1975 Cup Final with his friend Bobby Moore

• Alan played 35 times for England

• Voted England’s best player at the 1970 World Cup Finals

• Made an MBE for his services to football in 1975
