ALAN LAUNCHES NEW BOOK WITH UK TOUR

Alan meets the Brighton & Hove Albion 'Seagulls Shop' staff at a recent book signing

Alan Mullery will make a series of live appearances around the UK to launch his official autobiography which is published by Headline.

‘I really enjoyed writing the book,’ says Alan. ‘It brought back so many happy memories.  I have been lucky to live such a full and exciting life. I am really proud of the book and I am keen to get out and about to promote it. I’m looking forward to meeting football fans across the UK at book signings and other live events. I hope people enjoy reading the book as much as I enjoyed writing it. It was a marvellous experience, it really was.’

A LIFE ON THE OCEAN WAVE

Alan has always enjoyed travelling.

He played all over the world during his career and the globetrotting goes on. In October he flew out to Grenada in the West Indies for a 10-day cruise. Alan gave a series of talks about his life in football to fellow passengers.

'It was a working trip,' says Alan, 'but there was plenty of time to relax and enjoy the sea breezes too!'

VIVA LAS VEGAS!

2006 has been a busy year for Alan.

As well as writing and promoting his Autobiography, he has been a TV regular on Sky Sports and has made many live appearances. So Alan's wife June decided he deserved a special treat for his birthday in November.

'We've booked a five day holiday package to Vegas,' Alan smiles. 'It's going to be an action-packed trip. I'm not too bothered about the gambling side of things, but June and I are looking forward to seeing some great shows over there. We've already booked to see Celine Dion at Caesars Palace. That should be quite a night!'

As Elvis once said… Viva Las Vegas!

YOUR EMAILS TO ALAN MULLERY

Alan has been delighted by all the email messages received here at alanmullery.com from people who have read his new Autobiography.

Here's a typical message from Tony Fearon of County Armagh.

" I'm a Spurs fan of some 40 years standing, here in the North of Ireland.

Just finished Alan's book and thought it was the best footballer's autobiography I have ever read.

Memories came flooding back of the 1967 FA Cup Final, the 1972 UEFA Cup Final etc.

Alan's financial hardships were truly tear jerking but it was delightful to read that they are all in the past.

Pity they don't make them like 'The Tank' anymore. Well done to all concerned! "

Thanks very much for your kind words Tony!
